These Weasleys’ Dragon Roasted Nuts are a spicy and sweet snack that is perfect for parties or just munching at home. A flavorful blend of mixed nuts coated in honey and a variety of spices, roasted to perfection for a crunchy treat.

Candied Nuts:

  • 16 oz mixed nuts (3 oz cashews, 3 oz almonds, 3 oz pecans, 3 oz walnuts, 4 oz peanuts – omit for Paleo)
  • 1 large egg white
  • 170g honey

Spice Blend:

  • 1 ½ tsp Kosher salt
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper (use ¼ tsp for milder mix)
  • ¼ tsp cracked black pepper
  • ¼ tsp ground ginger
  • ¼ tsp ground cloves

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 250°F (120°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Coat Nuts: Whip egg white until frothy, add nuts, and toss to coat.
  3. Add Flavors: Mix in honey and all spices, ensuring nuts are evenly coated.
  4. Roast Nuts: Spread the nut mixture on the baking sheet and roast for 45-60 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes for even toasting.
  5. Cool and Store: Allow to cool for 10 minutes, break into chunks, and store in an airtight container once completely cool.
