Ingredients

Scale

Chicken & Seasoning:

  • 2 lbs chicken tenders (or thighs/breasts), cut into 3-inch pieces
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1½ tbsp dry ranch seasoning
  • 1 tsp dried dill
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Garlic Parmesan Butter Sauce:

  • 1 stick (½ cup) unsalted butter
  • 810 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • ⅓ cup fresh parsley, minced
  • 1 tbsp dry ranch seasoning
  • 1 tsp dried dill
  • ½ tsp onion powder

Other:

  • Wooden skewers (soaked in water for 30 minutes)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken: In a bowl, combine the dry ranch seasoning, dried dill, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken pieces and olive oil, then toss everything thoroughly until the chicken is well coated with the seasoning mix. Thread the chicken tightly onto the soaked wooden skewers, ensuring even distribution for cooking.
  2. Make Garlic Parmesan Sauce: Melt the unsalted butter in a saucepan over medium heat or use a microwave. Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and cook gently until fragrant. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese, hot sauce, red pepper flakes, fresh parsley, dry ranch seasoning, dried dill, and onion powder. Whisk everything well until combined. Reserve about two-thirds of this sauce for basting toward the end, and keep one-third for cooking the chicken.
  3. Cook (Air Fryer Method): Preheat the air fryer to 400°F. Place 2–3 skewers inside and cook for 5 minutes. Flip the skewers, baste them with the garlic Parmesan sauce, then cook for an additional 2 minutes. Flip and baste again, then continue cooking for 5–6 more minutes or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F. Finish by brushing the reserved sauce over the cooked skewers and sprinkling extra Parmesan cheese on top.
  4. Alternate Oven Method: Preheat your oven to 450°F. Lay the skewers on a foil-lined baking sheet and bake for 14 minutes, flipping halfway through and basting regularly with the garlic Parmesan butter sauce. In the final 2 minutes, switch the oven to broil and broil the skewers to achieve a slightly crispy finish. Remove and brush with the reserved sauce and sprinkle additional Parmesan cheese before serving.
  5. Alternate Grill Method: Heat your grill to medium-high heat. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 5–6 minutes per side, basting periodically with the garlic Parmesan butter sauce to keep them moist and flavorful. Once cooked through and nicely charred, remove from grill, drizzle with any remaining sauce, and garnish with extra Parmesan cheese for serving.

Notes

  • Soaking skewers in water for 30 minutes prevents them from burning while cooking.
  • Adjust hot sauce and red pepper flakes to your preferred spice level.
  • Ensure chicken is cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F for safety.
  • The recipe is versatile; you can use chicken breasts, thighs, or tenders.
  • Can be cooked via air fryer, oven, or grill depending on your equipment.
  • Serve with a side salad or grilled vegetables for a complete meal.
