Ingredients

Scale

Sliders

  • 1 pound freshly sliced deli turkey
  • 12 sliced dinner rolls or sliders
  • 8 slices pepper jack cheese

Sauce

  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley (optional – added for flavor enhancement)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
  2. Prepare the Rolls: Slice the dinner rolls in half horizontally, keeping the halves attached if possible. Place the bottom halves on the prepared baking sheet as the base for the sliders.
  3. Layer Turkey and Cheese: Evenly spread half of the sliced deli turkey over the bottom halves of the rolls. Follow by layering half of the pepper jack cheese slices on top. Repeat the layering process with the remaining turkey and cheese on top.
  4. Make the Butter Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and dried parsley until fully combined to create a flavorful brush-on sauce.
  5. Apply the Sauce: Generously brush the prepared sauce evenly over the tops and sides of the assembled sliders to enhance flavor and encourage browning during baking.
  6. Bake Covered: Cover the sliders with parchment paper or foil to keep them moist and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
  7. Bake Uncovered: Remove the cover and continue baking for an additional 3 to 5 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  8. Rest and Serve: Let the sliders rest for 2 to 5 minutes after baking to allow the cheese to set slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!

Notes

  • For a creamier texture, add a thin layer of cream cheese or spreadable butter to the bottom halves of the rolls before layering the turkey and cheese.
  • Substitute pepper jack cheese with your favorite cheese such as cheddar or mozzarella if preferred.
  • Use whole wheat or gluten-free rolls to accommodate dietary preferences.
  • These sliders can be assembled ahead of time and refrigerated before baking to save time.
