These Jalapeño Popper Bagels are a delicious and spicy twist on a classic breakfast favorite. Creamy, cheesy, and packed with flavor, they make for a perfect start to your day!

Bacon:

  • 5 slices bacon, cooked until crispy and chopped

Cream Cheese Mixture:

  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded white cheddar
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack, divided
  • 2 jalapeños, minced
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • Kosher salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Bagels:

  • 3 bagels, halved

Garnish:

  • 1 jalapeño, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  2. Cook Bacon: In a skillet, cook bacon until crispy, then drain on a paper towel and chop.
  3. Prepare Cream Cheese Mixture: In a bowl, mix cream cheese, white cheddar, 1/2 cup Monterey Jack, jalapeños, garlic powder, bacon, salt, and pepper.
  4. Assemble Bagels: Place halved bagels on a baking sheet, spread with cream cheese mixture, and top with remaining Monterey Jack.
  5. Bake: Bake for 10-12 minutes until bagels are warmed through and cheese is melted.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Garnish each bagel half with a slice of jalapeño and serve.
