1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
Garlic-Ginger Sauce:
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 tablespoon pineapple juice
1⁄2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Additional Ingredients:
1⁄2 cup fresh pineapple, chopped
2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon lime juice
2 green onions, sliced, for garnish
Instructions
Prepare the Sauce: In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, rice vinegar, pineapple juice, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
Cook the Shrimp: Sauté shrimp in olive oil until pink and cooked through. Set aside.
Sauté Garlic and Ginger: In the same skillet, sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant.
Combine and Simmer: Add the prepared sauce to the skillet, simmer briefly, then add the shrimp back in to coat.
Add Pineapple: Stir in pineapple and cook briefly.
Finish and Garnish: Drizzle with sesame oil, lime juice, and cilantro. Garnish with green onions.
Serve: Serve hot with rice or preferred side dish.
