Ingredients

Scale

For the Spicy Chicken:

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, sliced into strips
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

For the Creamy Garlic Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1½ cups heavy cream (or half-and-half for a lighter version)
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

For the Ramen Bowl:

  • 2 packs ramen noodles (discard seasoning packets)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • ½ cup sliced green onions
  • ½ cup shredded carrots (optional, for crunch)
  • 1 soft-boiled egg, halved (for topping)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Nori strips (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Marinate & Cook the Spicy Chicken: In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, smoked paprika, chili powder, cayenne pepper, and black pepper. Add the sliced chicken and toss to coat evenly. Let the chicken marinate for 10 minutes to absorb the flavors. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken strips and cook for 5-6 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked through. Remove from heat and set aside.
  2. Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce: In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and sauté the minced garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant but not browned. Slowly pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth while stirring continuously. Add salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if you want extra heat. Let the sauce simmer gently for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Remove from heat.
  3. Cook the Ramen Noodles: Bring a large pot of water to a rolling boil. Cook the ramen noodles according to the package instructions, usually around 3-4 minutes. Once cooked, drain the noodles thoroughly and toss them with 1 teaspoon of sesame oil to prevent sticking and to add a nutty flavor. Set aside.
  4. Assemble the Ramen Bowls: Divide the cooked ramen noodles evenly into serving bowls. Pour the creamy garlic sauce over the noodles, making sure they are well coated. Top each bowl with the fiery spicy chicken strips, sliced green onions, shredded carrots for crunch, and a soft-boiled egg halved for richness. Garnish with a sprinkle of sesame seeds and strips of nori for extra texture and flavor. Serve immediately while hot and enjoy your flavorful ramen bowl!

Notes

  • Adjust cayenne pepper and red pepper flakes according to your preferred spice level.
  • Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream for a lighter sauce.
  • Soft-boiled eggs can be prepared in advance and refrigerated.
  • Feel free to add other toppings like spinach, mushrooms, or corn for more variety.
  • To make it gluten-free, substitute tamari or gluten-free soy sauce and gluten-free ramen.
