These Baklava Muffins are a delightful twist on the traditional baklava dessert, combining the flavors of honey, nuts, and warm spices in a convenient muffin form.

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Nut Mixture:

  • 1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped pistachios
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped almonds
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

Additional:

  • 1/4 cup honey (for drizzling after baking)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare muffin tin.
  2. Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Combine wet ingredients: In another bowl, mix melted butter, sugar, honey, milk, and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients: Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Prepare nut mixture: In a small bowl, mix walnuts, pistachios, almonds, cinnamon, and cloves.
  6. Combine batter and nuts: Gently fold nut mixture into the muffin batter.
  7. Fill muffin tin: Spoon batter into muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
  8. Bake: Bake for 18-20 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool and drizzle: Cool muffins in tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack and drizzle with honey.
